Dog Of The Month: Bebe - a surprisingly small dog under all that fur, but a beautiful boy with a big heart nonetheless! Since I first met him in the playpen at AIN I knew he was special - a strong statement when you are surrounded by so many wonderful dogs but I think I warmed to him more as he has been there for quite a few months which I couldn't understand. He is very sensitive to his environment and doesn't give strangers the warmest of welcomes, not the greatest advert for potential adopters, but take the time to get to know him and you won't believe it's the same dog! He is very playful, full of energy (aka Bebe beans!) and is extremely athletic - loves swimming and catches a frizbee with ease - he would make a superb agility dog. He forms a very strong bond with his handler - recently he has joined me on pack walks with 2 larger dogs and has even started to walk with other dogs from the shelter. Gain his trust and he will give you everything and more. He is so rewarding to be with and will make a loyal, faithful companion for someone.

Little Alfie is a 6 year old JRT he needs a specialist home with a dog trainer. He is a wonderful dog most of the time but does have the night time demons so needs a home that can cope with this. He will not be homes where there are children or other animals.

AVREL is very loving and loves his cuddles , he is relaxed and calm, a bit of a couch potato. He loves everyone, is used to living with an older child, and enjoys visits with my sisters kids who are 2 and 7 (though he has a reputation for being a bit of a humper. He has plenty of personality, has his mad 5 minutes of running around like a fruit loop. He is house trained, asks to go out, will sit stay and catch and fetch (if he is in the mood, he is quite willfull). He is fine with other dogs, and crate trained but not good with cats and will steal food if the opportunity arrises.

BEANO is a strong handsome lab cross around 2 years old, he has lived with another dog before he is house trained and travels well.But he is a big bouncy boisterous lad that needs a firm experianced home.

BB is a very handsome collie x gsd, he is a lively charachter who would benefit from an experienced home who is willing to give him some further training. He is looking for a home with no young children where he will get plenty of exercise and stimulation

BERTIE is back. He is a Basset X who does not like men! He need a very patient understanding and experianced home because he will push the boundaries as far as he can, he is a handsome chap im sure there is a special home out there for him some where.

BETSY this poor lady came in to us from the pound after being abandoned in Milton Keynes. She is around 7 years young and seems to have slight neurological problems, she is a sweet heart who needs a very special quiet home where she can be pampered.

BORIS came in to us from the pound, his owner had sadly passed away and no one in the family could take him. He is only 2 years old a lovely friendly chap who is house trained, knows basic commands and is a very loyal & loving boy.

CHESTER is a 5 year old very playful friendly Rottie lad,he came in from the pound today and he is so excited and happy. He loves cuddles and he knows basic commands. He has lived with children over 5 years before and is ok with some other dogs.

COOKIE is a lovely 6 years old Westie boy who came in to us due to a family break up. He is used to children over 5 years but he would really like a home where he can go to dog training classes.

COLIN is a sweetie he loves people and is very loyal & affectionate, this poor staffie lad was rehomed by us two years ago but handed back just before Xmas due to a family break up, he is house trained and travels well but he is not good with other animals.

Charlie Brown is simply gorgeous! He is a 2 year old black & tan Daschund, he was handed in by his devastated owner for reasons beyond his control. He is house trained and travels ok, he would be best suited to a quiet home with no children or other dogs. Charlie B has not been very well socailised so he is fearful of strangers but has never attempted to bite.

DOUGAL is a cracking little black & white collie cross who came in to us from the pound. He is around 8 years old but still very lively, he is ok with other dogs and is used to be left, he loves fuss and attention.

FERN, this beautiful Rottie lady is back due to her owners ill health. She is a fabulous girl friendly & loving great with children over 5 years but not good with other dogs. She has come back very over weight so is on a diet to get her to a more healthy size

Gracie is a stunning 1 year old brindle possible dobieX staff, you could not ask for a more friendly & playful young lady! She is fab with other dogs, clean in her kennel and would be a fab candidate for agillity of training as she loves to be kept busy. This fab young lady will make some one a truly loyal companion.

Harvey is a 12 year old brindle staffie cross, he would need an experienced owner with no children or animals, he can be boisterous & dominant.

Jakey is great with people but not good with any other animals. He is around 12 years old castrated, vaccinated & id chipped.

JIMMY JONES is a real cuddle bum! He ignores the other dogs until they grizzle at him. This staffie boy is around three and had had a rotten start to life.

Poor Jessie went out to a home and caused a few problems with the resident dog. She is a stunning cream lurcher who needs an experianced home with no other animals, she is around 2 years old.

LOUIS is a 18 month old blonde Yorkshire terrier. He would prefer an experianced home as he will try to rule the roost, he will not be homed with children or other animals

JED is a little terrier around 14 months old, he wouldlike an experainced terrier home that has time to give him plenty of exercise to stop him getting bored. He would need a home with no children or smaller furries.

MAC is a very large handsome black GSD, he is around 4 years old and had been left to fend for hiself in a flat where builders kindly fed him. He was homed by the pound and used as a guard dog but sent back for doing his job! He is a lovely lad and he knows basic commands.

MARLEY is a big handsome lurcher boy around three years old. He is a very affectionate lad who enjoys his long walks but will need a home where there are no cats in the area.

MISSY is a stunning brindle mastif cross 3 year old girl,sheloves fuss and attention, she travels well and is house trained and she knows basic commands.She is nervous of some men

PEDRO came in to us from the pound. He is a small young black & tan cross breed who knows basic commands. He is not good with other dogs and at the moment is a little food possesive.

QUINCEY is a handsome collie X he is 18 months old and loves everyone, he is fine with other dogs but can be a little dominant on first meeting them but has lived with another dog. He is not good with CATS!! He knows sit, wait and drop he can be nervous with some men.

Rio is a 7 year old staffie castrated, vaccinated and chipped not good with dogs or small animals, needs experienced understanding home to help him overcome his insecurities.

Rocky is a 5 year old American bulldog/staffie cross, castrated, vaccinated and id chipped, very friendly, needs to be homed as an only animal not good with other dogs

Rhea is a beautiful, very loyal & friendly 7 year old rottie girl, she was handed in to rescue with her son Bouncer.She is used to living with children of all ages but she is a boisterous big girl so would be more suited in an experianced home. She knows basic commands and just loves fuss and attention, she is not used to travelling but a few short journeys to some where nice would soon teach her not to be afraid.

SONNY is a stunning black GSD boy around 3 years old and he wouldlove a home with his best mate SAFFY a ten year old terrier. They love each other, they loves toys and human comapany.

SUKI this beautiful Boxer cross American bulldog girl is around 4/5years old, she came to us from the pound. She loves to play ball and tugg, she possibly has hearing problems but does respond to the sit hand signal.

SCARLET is a pretty 2 year old black & brindle cross breed girl who came to us from the pound. She is a little nervous when she first meets you but fabulous once you gain her trust. Very clever girl who knows sit & wait but she does not enjoy travelling.

Sparky is 4 nearly 5 and she is a minature jack russel, she lost one eye due to the lense becoming detached from her eye ball, her other eye is checked yearly and is fine. She is a friendly little soul, fine with other dogs and children over 5 years, she was handed in by her owner who could no longer keep her.

TRIGGER, who could resist that cute face?? He is a 3 year old black & tan Rottie cross he came to us from the pound, he can get over excitable so he would benefit from training classes.

TESS is an absolute darling, this little white staffie lady is around 6 years old and came to us from the pound. She is house trained, loves toys and is a real cuddly, loyal kind natured girl.

TYLER is a large handsome 2 year old black & brindle cross lad he came in to us from the pound after being left there as a stray. He does not like other animals but he is very loving with people and he knows basic commands

WOODY is an 18 month old bundle of fun! He needs an active home to keep up with him, he is fine with other dogs and has lived with children over 5 years before. A home preferably where he will be taken to training claases. He came in to us from the pound.

ZACK the Shar Pei came in to us from the pound where he was left as a stray. He would like an experianced where there are no young children.
